Watercolour Lessons
Worawuth is now offering personal watercolour tuition (see Painting Lessons for details).
A Little Personal History
Necessity, and 12 years as a novice and monk in Chiang Mia, temporarily interrupted my practice but early 2009 brought a renewed interest in watercolour and my first formal training in Bangkok.
Upon returning to Chiang Mai in 2010 I began studying under renowned local artist Ajarn Thanakorn Chaijinda.
Worawuth has been running his own gallery since he opened ‘Worawuth’s Watercolour Studio’ a small
space, in February 2013. In November 2015 he opened “The Three Owls Gallery”, a much larger gallery in the centre of Chiang Mai.
2017 was a great year with both the gallery becoming more successful, and a large increase in the number
of students wishing to study with him. The year finished on a high note with a painting trip to Myanmar in the company of a group of renowned national Thai watercolour artists based in Chiang Rai.
Summer 2018 saw Worawuth in the UK on a personal painting tour. Click to see excerpts from his sketchbook for this tour.
